Mission Statement
"Loving God In All We Do"
(This is completely, utterly and absolutely central to what we do every day, who we are, our attitudes towards each other and how we express ourselves.)
Living the Gospel every day by:
Making time each day for reflection and prayer.
Demonstrating in our collective worship the strength of our commitment to our faith, our community, (including the parishes of St. Anne's, Ormskirk and St. Mary's, Aughton) and the world.
Respecting and supporting each other.
Treating everyone with justice, tolerance and understanding.
Striving for excellence in all we do.
Celebrating talents and skills
Respecting diversity within and beyond our own community.
Recognising the rights of others and our own responsibilities
Creating a safe and stimulating learning environment providing an excellent education within a strong, caring Catholic ethos
This is our aim: Because we believe that all talents are God given and must not be neglected but used to their best effect and good of all. Because we recognise the unique value and individuality of all human beings regardless of race, gender, faith or disability. Because we are determined to exercise the highest standards of pupil care and by example encourage that same qualities in the children. Because we wish to illustrate that it is through Christ's values of love, peace and justice that we hope to achieve a better world. Because we believe that children learn self respect by being valued. If they experience love, they may learn to return it. They will value and bear witness to Christ's message if they see it in action. In order to fulfil our mission, we must seek to achieve our best, whether this involves academic excellence, creative talent or strength of character. Our Christian beliefs are the essence of and the motivation for our achievements. They are the impetus for all our efforts and underpin all our teaching and learning experiences. In keeping with our mission statement we take the view that good practice for children with special educational needs is good practice for all children.
We aim to achieve the following within the constraints of funding: * Early identification of need. * Recognition of under achievement. * Support to achieve progress. * Continuous monitoring and assessment. * To access the full curriculum for all children. * To work with parents in the education of their children. * To encourage success. * To make the best use of available resources. * To work with outside agencies. * To work closely with our parish(es.)
