Update September 2011

Hello parents, carers and children.

Re-Wiring Of Junior Building

I thought you may be interested to see some of the developments that are taking place at the moment. The Junior Classrooms are now being re-wired to increase the safety and the number of available sockets and improve the quality of lighting. This follows a grant of approximately £160,000 that we received from the Archdiocese to complete the task.

Over the summer much work was done to create the new electrical infrastructure in order to make the process possible. Additionally, the school hall and other areas of the building were re-wired.

Between now (September 9th) and probably the end of October (half term) the classrooms are being re-wired one at a time. Whilst each individual classroom is being sorted, the children and teachers are being re-located temporarily in the Quiet Room just off the Infant Hall.

A couple of photographs below show the impact on one of the Year 4 classrooms.

The main Infants Electrical Panel governing the fuses etc for that building are also being replaced as part of this project
